Opus 7 Vocal Ensemble invites you to join us as we transition out of winter with a vibrant offering of choral music for spring! This concert will highlight Edward Elgar’s lyrical finesse, with selections for two violins and piano, capturing grandeur and tender introspection that resonates with the soul. Featured composers: Elgar, Finzi, Muehleisen, Herbolsheimer, Scandrett, Earnest & Malpocker (world premiere). We are also proud to perform Central Washington University student Nico Benabid’s winning work for this year’s Robert Scandrett Memorial Choral Composition Competition. Join us at 6:30 pm for a pre-concert talk, and to view/purchase the evocative paintings of local artist Sharon Wherland. An artist, musician, and teacher, her work is known for its symphonic interplay of color and movement which beautifully complements our springtime season finale.
