Join us for a concert of inspiring choral music dedicated to women’s stories, from Queen Elizabeth II to Harriet Tubman. You will hear Malala Yousafzai’s powerful words of courage, a tribute to Afghan poet Nadia Anjuman, and a powerful and uplifting arrangement of Harriet Tubman. Bernstein’s charming French Choruses from The Lark present his interpretation of Renaissance folk songs with an ode to Joan of Arc. Quilt Songs: Women Weaving the Fabric of Life was inspired by the quilts of Kay McCarthy—these musical settings by women composers weave together joy, generosity, wisdom, and beauty.
